National Strategic Plans and Stepping Stones
Over the years, several countries have integrated the use of Stepping Stones into their National Strategic Plans.
These include Fiji, the Solomon Islands and the Gambia. This is because they have seen that Stepping Stones offers many of the components necessary to fulfill a gender-transformative approach to their work.
A framework document, published by the ATHENA Network and Heard, for women, girls and gender equality, to which we contributed, is available here.
You can also read a report by UNIFEM and ATHENA which highlights the advantages of including women, including women with HIV, in decision-making processes regarding an effective response to the pandemic.
