PASADA opened in 1989 as the response of the Catholic Diocese in Dar es Salaam to HIV and AIDS.

PASADA runs HIV clinics across Dar es Salaam, which is the largest conurbation in East Africa. Clinics are open to everyone, of all religious persuasions or none.

PASADA also runs community programmes.

PASADA has been using Stepping Stones fin different ways for many years.

These have included introducing it to school children in the top year across all primary schools in Dar es Salaam.

Stepping Stones has also been used effectively with young people in informal settlements in Dar es Salaam.

“Currently we have been training our staff (52) on Stepping Stones and we have been using it. In short, this is the culture of our organization that every new comer have to undergo for such a training which lasts for 16 days and we provide them with certificates.” PASADA
